In This Dream I Was...

In this dream I was a mermaid swimming in an aquatic paradise. The sun light glistened through out the water. I had long black hair, the classic seashell undergarment, and of course, a fin. I was the only mermaid in a sun lit paradise. Although I was alone, I enjoyed the spacious wonderland. I never pondered why I was the only mermaid. Suddenly, I began to gasp for air. I struggled to swim to the surface. My gills were no longer present. The struggle for oxygen became worse, as I could feel my human form lose air. I woke up breathing as if it were my last few breaths. My dream quickly became a nightmare.
