If there is one thing that remains true with teens and people in general is that we all have out trends. Every generation has its style and the world of fashion is always evolving into something new, everyday. But, a trend does not necessarily have to deal with the clothes we wear. This generation is more technologically advanced than any other generation. The kids around my age seem to be interested in producing music. I would not call it a fad for some, but many people are interesting in being in the entertainment industry in any way they can. The most popular form of entertainment is dancing, but not just any kind of dance. The most popular trend, in my opinion, is jerking. It is unclear when jerking began, but it is very popular amongst today’s youth. Jerk kids often wear small backpacks, brightly colored skinny jeans, and small shirts. The style is a mesh of nerdy and casual. You can always tell a jerker when you see one. This style and dance is mainly popular amongst boys, in my opinion. I honestly do not know why it is so popular. It is just one of those dances that everyone picked up and loved. But, like many trends, it is starting to lose its appeal and die out. Crumping was popular before jerking and the fact that that was the new dance trend amazed me because they are not similar at all. I wonder what the next trend will be.
