The I Am Poem

I am spiritually motivated and ambitious

I wonder what my purpose is in life

I hear the people that told me I can not

I see the path that I must follow

I want to continue to strive for excellence

I am spiritually motivated and ambitious

I pretend that I am in a paradise above the earth

I feel His embrace that put me at ease

I touch the clouds beneath my feet

I worry that in this place, some people I will not see

I cry when I think how time has gone by

I am spiritually motivated and ambitious

I understand that every one's intentions aren't the best

I say kindness is a duty never served with regret

I dream of a life in which my kindness is not being naive

I try to smile, though life can be rough

I hope that who I truly am, will always be enough
